IP Logging
BLB does not log IPs. BLB reserves the right to change that policy in the future if there's a compelling reason to do so. If the policy is changed, a sticky thread explaining why will be posted for a reasonable amount of time.

StatCounter tracks the last 500 page loads. They do track IPs, but they are not publicly visible.

Post Categorization
Posts are categorized as Normal, Not Safe For Work (NSFW), Spam, and TOS Violation.
Definitions:

Normal: An uncategorized post.
NSFW: Content with some redeeming value, but which a reasonable person wouldn't want to read on their laptop at Starbucks.
Spam: Content without redeeming value.
TOS: Content that harasses an identifiable, non-public person or content that moderators find inappropriate at their sole discretion.

Moderation and Post Display
Unregistered users see only normal threads on the thread index page. When viewing a thread, the see only normal posts. Registered users may opt-in to additionally see posts flagged as NSFW and or Spam.
Users may categorize their own content as NSFW when adding a post. Board readers may flag posts for review by a moderator.


*Note: Through November 2008, fewer than 5 threads have been marked as a TOS violation. Everything else that has been posted is still available to a registered user who has opted-in to see all categories.
